From the rumor mill: Rockstar's GTAV for Xbox One and PC to arrive November 14th

Rockstar Games announced earlier this year that the open-world crime saga Grand Theft Auto V (GTAV) would arrive later this year on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. The game is currently only available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Online retail giant Amazon has accidentally listed the release date for GTAV for Xbox One and PC, revealing that the game will be available on November 14th in Germany. Amazon.de quickly removed any mention of the release date as soon as the accident was discovered.  Danish retailer Coolshop also outed this release date, before quickly removing it.

Rockstar has yet to confirm anything beyond “arriving this fall” so we are labeling this as a hot rumor at this time. Perhaps we might hear a bit more about GTAV’s release during Gamescom, which takes place next week.

Porting this to high end consoles, Rockstar says that the new platforms will “take full advantage” of the more powerful hardware. Furthermore, all your old characters and game progress that you made in Grand Theft Auto Online on the PS3 or Xbox 360 will be pushed over to the next-gen equivalents. Grand Theft Auto V broke six world records last year, including become the fastest entertainment property to generate $1 billion revenue.
