Rumor: LG to make a comeback, working on a Windows Phone 8.1 handset

Windows Phone 8.1

At Build, Microsoft announced a number of partners who will release Windows Phone devices in the coming months. We’ve already heard rumors about HTC and Samsung working on WP8.1-powered handsets, but they are not the only ones. It seems LG is also planning to make a comeback with its own WIndows Phone 8.1 device. The well connected @evleaks posted an image of an alleged LG device running the latest operating system.

The details about the device are pretty scarce, but judging by the looks of it, it might be a high-end device. The alleged handset comes with on-screen buttons as well as a large display and an elegant design. There’s nothing much to it except the LG logo on the bottom.

It seems the future of Windows Phone is going to be bright as it will not just be Nokia, but other OEMs as well. Competition is always good, and I’m pretty sure we’ll definitely see more good devices hit the market in the coming months. Share your thoughts using the comments below.
