Rise of the Tomb Raider trailer released

As it has been popular and financially successful for Hollywood to reboot movie franchises (everything from Star Trek to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), the popular action adventure game series Tomb Raider saw a reboot in 2013.

The awaited follow up to that reboot, “Rise of the Tomb Raider,” is set to launch as an Xbox exclusive sometime during this year’s holiday season. Today, Xbox released a cinematic trailer and box art for the upcoming game as publisher Microsoft gears up for the release of “Rise of the Tomb Raider.”

The Xbox newswire describes the new trailer as offering:

….a peek at protagonist Lara Croft’s newest adventure through treacherous and remote wilderness, as she embraces her inevitable destiny to become the ultimate Tomb Raider.

The trailer also concludes by saying the world premiere of this Xbox exclusive game will be at the Xbox E3 Briefing on June 15, 2015. With just two weeks to go until this year’s E3 stay tuned to Winbeta for more Xbox coverage and announcements.
