Microsoft pushes Lumia as the perfect business companion device in new commercial

Amid rumors that Microsoft is “giving up” on Windows for phones, a new video on the Microsoft Lumia YouTube channel has been released. In it the company demonstrates that it is fully behind it’s mobile devices. It seems like the perfect retort to all those “tough decision” rumors that the phone division would be the first to be shut down.

Aimed at the business user, the ad shows an “every man” jumping out of bed and reaching for his Lumia 640 XL. As he goes through his day, some of the more useful phone features are highlighted:

  • Using Cortana to plan a meeting.
  • Getting Excel graphs from an email.
  • Taking advantage of cloud storage with OneDrive while on the go.
  • Being able to picking up exactly where he left off on his computer at work.

For the all the details, check out the video above. Just going on this video, it seems that Microsoft is pitching the next generation of Windows Phone devices at business customers. This is smart, as they have all the enterprise grade tools ready to go. Hopefully if all goes well with this demographic, then average consumers that need to get work done while on the move will follow.
