Redbox app for windows phone 8 receives update, gets some unknown fixes

Redbox, a popular service that lets you rent DVDs, BluRays, and video games via automated retail kiosks, now has an updated app for Windows Phone 8. Unfortunately, the change log for this update has yet to be made available.

“The official Redbox app takes your rental experience to a whole new level. Find a box near wherever you’re at, then look inside to see what’s for rent. Find a movie or game you want? Click “Reserve” and check out, and we’ll save you a copy to pick up later that day. Search by release date, genre and rating, and watch trailers. See a list of the closest Redbox locations, and get driving directions to any box in the country,” the app description reads.

This new update bumps the version number to 1.1.5.0 and so far we have noticed the app to be much more responsive. The app is free, so hit the download link below to snag it and let us know if you notice any new features or improvements.
