Recent 6tag update brings with it a refresh button and geolocations

While developers of popular in-demand apps like Snap Chat and Pebble continue to put their development dollars towards larger game in iOS and Android, little known 3rd party developers still look to shine on Windows Phone. Legendary developer and semi-platform savior Rudy Huyn has pushed out yet another update to his well celebrated 3rd party Instagram client, 6tag.

In the update released today, 6tag gains two new features:

  • Refresh button – the pull down refresh gesture is still present but for people with larger screen phones, the refresh button at the bottom of the app is a welcomed addition.
  • Use of geolocations – now when editing photos, users can now use the geolocation from the image. This may be handy for images you have saved but don’t quite remember where you were when you took them.

Rudy has been plugging away at the Instagram client and is now on version 4.0.4. His efforts on the 3rd party Instagram client have arguably made it one of the best Instagram experiences on any platform and he is looking to bring that same level of quality to desktop and PC’s with an upcoming universal app for Windows 10 in version 5.0 of the app.
