According to the recent Azure blog post, real-time alerts are now possible for Azure Premium CDN for Verizon. It’s possible to set them up with email or HTTP alerts that will notify you about bandwidth, status codes, cache statuses, and connections. These settings can be found on your CDN profile where you can indicate which alert configurations you would prefer.

These alerts make it easier to keep up with your Azure Content Delivery Network. You can specify it by what kind of conditions you want to be monitored and what threshold value that metric has to reach before it will send you a notification. Adjusting the interval of how often you want the metric to be checked up on can also help customize your alert settings so that it isn’t spamming your email when a problem occurs. You can also set it to notify you when the condition for the metric begins, ends, when it goes on for a while, and so on.

So far, the real-time alerts seem to only be available for Azure Premium CDN for Verizon according to the overview. Read more about how you can set them up from the Azure CDN documentation.
