Rainbow Six Siege, the game that blindsided the competitive shooter community by offering a slow-paced alternative to Counter Strike Global Offensive, is going to be free for the weekend on Xbox. A game goes temporarily free most weeks for Xbox Live Gold members, and this time around, it’s going to be a very polarizing weekend. You can get into the free period of play starting on November 16th, going on until the 19th.

Rainbow Six Siege puts players in a position where they can either siege or defend a position, protecting/extracting hostages and taking care of other objectives. It involves tons of surveillance, mind games, and snappy shooting. It will most certainly not be for everyone, but this weekend might make a fan out of people who were previously disinterested.
