If you were waiting for Microsoft to release a new Windows 11 Insider build for the Dev Channel this week, you’re out of luck: The Windows Insider team announced a couple of minutes ago that it won’t have a new build ready until next week at the earliest.
“Unfortunately our build candidate this week didn’t meet our quality bar for release so we don’t have a new flight for #WindowsInsiders in the Dev Channel this week. We hope to be back at it with a flight next week,” wrote Windows Insider chief Amanda Langowski

It’s a rare miss from the Windows Insider team who got us used to releasing new Dev Channel builds in the middle of the week, usually on Wednesdays. However, it’s really best not to release a build that doesn’t meet the team’s quality standards, and it’s certainly no fun for Insiders to deal with builds that have unexpected issues.
The last Windows 11 Dev Channel build was released last week and it was a pretty minor update. The most notable changes include updated media controls on the Lock Screen, a smoother experience when resizing app windows in snap layouts, as well as more natural voices for Narrator. If you have yet to install it on your PC, we invite you to check out our previous post for more details.
