As Microsoft probably won’t reveal a successor to the Lumia 950/XL this year, the HP Elite x3 appears to be the most exciting Windows phone to be released in 2016. Last week, we reported that the upcoming Windows 10 Mobile flagship could be coming to Italy in September for €699, but the superphone has just been spotted today at UK retailer Clove by Windows Central and you can already pre-order it.
According to the store listing, the HP Elite x3 will be available for £680 (Continuum dock included) and the first stock will be available in early August, just in time for the Windows 10 Anniversary Update. As a reminder, here are the detailed specs of the handset:
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 (2.15 GHz and 4 cores)
- 5.96-inch (2560×1440) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and anti-reflective coating
- 4GB of RAM
- 64GB of eMMC storage with 1 microSD (expandable up to 2TB)
- 16MP f/2.0 FHD rear-facing camera and 8MP FHD front facing camera and Iris camera
- Fingerprint sensor
- Audio speaker by Bang & Olufsen
