Pock8, a Windows Phone alternative to Pocket

Pocket, a popular read-it-later service is among those apps which haven’t officially arrived on Windows Phone yet. A few days ago, an unofficial client, Poki made its way to the Store, and it is really good, but if you didn’t like it, or don’t want to spend money using it, we have found another app called Pock8 for you which, as the developer claims, will run for free for the next few days.

The app has a clean and simple design, and sports the article view mode — an advert and popup free environment, and lets you download articles for offline reading. It also provides a dark theme for OLED screens, and as you would expect, integrates with other reading applications to receive articles from them.

WinBeta has emailed the folks over at Pocket to check whether they are working on building a Windows Phone client. For now, grab the app from the Downloads link below, and let us know how much you like it! Pock8, a Windows Phone alternative to Pocket.

Thanks to everyone who tipped us!
