Crimson Desert now runs on some Intel Arc GPUs after Pearl Abyss updated its stance, but the experience remains far from stable and the studio clearly asks players to wait for proper support. At launch, the game blocked Arc users and directed them toward refunds, which created immediate backlash among PC players who expected wider GPU compatibility from day one.
Now the studio says it is working on compatibility and optimization for Intel Arc systems, and the latest message confirms that the game can at least boot on supported Arc hardware. However, Pearl Abyss stops short of calling this full support and warns that performance drops and stability issues still exist while ongoing work continues in the background.

According to Pearl Abyss, the updated support note replaces the earlier FAQ that denied Arc compatibility, and the developer apologizes for the confusion while asking users to wait for a future update that will deliver a smoother and more stable experience across Intel’s GPU lineup.
Arc support works, but problems remain
Early user reports show that this change acts as a partial fix rather than a complete solution. Some players confirm that the game now launches on Arc GPUs such as the B580, but several others report rendering issues, including white or blue screens and crashes after getting past the initial hardware restriction.
This shift comes shortly after Intel stated it had offered Pearl Abyss extensive support, including hardware, drivers, and engineering help across multiple GPU generations like Alchemist and Battlemage. That context raises questions about why full optimization did not arrive before launch, especially when the groundwork appears to have been available.
For now, Arc users can access Crimson Desert, but they should expect inconsistent performance until the promised update arrives. The game already supports technologies like FSR and DLSS on PC, along with advanced features such as ray reconstruction, yet those enhancements do not solve the core stability issues seen on Intel hardware.
Pearl Abyss says it will continue improving performance through updates, and players who rely on Intel Arc GPUs will need to wait for those fixes before expecting a reliable experience.
