Outlook.com gains more than 1.5 million new users in just one day after officially launching onmsft.com February 20, 2013

On February 18th, Microsoft proudly announced that Outlook.com, the company’s modern Hotmail email service with numerous new features, had reached a new milestone and was no longer in “preview.” Microsoft also revealed that Outlook.com had over 60 million users. Now, the company has revealed that overnight, the new email service has gained more than 1.5 million new users.

“And for the more than 1.5 million of you who joined http://Outlook.com since our launch last night, welcome and thank you!” Microsoft stated in a recent tweet. Outlook.com is Microsoft’s answer to a more “private” email service, amid privacy concerns with Google’s Gmail email service. Outlook.com features a modern interface with all the features you could need in an email service. For those who have yet to give it a try, head over to www.outlook.com to give it a try.
