Outlook iOS and Android apps are getting a useful “feed” feature

Microsoft is looking to change up the search page in the Outlook mobile apps. That is according to a listing on the Microsoft 365 Roadmap spotted by Neowin which explains a new Microsoft Feed function is on the way soon for Outlook on iOS and Android.

Given the Feature ID of 93317 and set for release next month in June, Microsoft details that this new Feed should make your Outlook mobile experience better in a few ways. The top way it should help is to assist in finding interesting things happening across Microsoft 365. This means that you’ll be able to see updates on people, documents, and other things happening across your organization in the search area of the app.

We’re not certain what this feed will end up looking like, but Microsoft mentions that it’ll be a vertical format view, ranked personally for each user. It is just one of many features that the Microsoft roadmap mentions for Outlook. Over on the Mac desktop app, you’ll be able to “react” to emails, on Android, you’ll be able to save attachments to OneDrive for Business directly. Finally, to better tie in with other Microsoft 365 apps, a feature for accessing To Do, Org Explorer, Yammer Communities, and Bookings directly inside Outlook is also in the works.
