Outlook add-ins are now rolling out to Outlook for Android for users, a couple of months after Microsoft launched them on the iOS version of the email client. Just like on iPhones and iPads, Outlook add-ins are only supported on Outlook.com and Office 365 commercial email accounts for now, but they will be available in the next few months for Gmail users.
“This launch will bring some of the most loved Outlook add-ins from iOS to Android, including Evernote, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Translator, Nimble, OnePlaceMail, Outlook Customer Manager, Smartsheet, and Trello,” explained the Office team. “We will also be launching several new add-ins for Outlook—including Wrike, JIRA, MeisterTask, Gfycat, and MojiLala,” the blog post continued.
To enable Outlook add-ins in Outlook for Android, you have to go to Settings > Add-ins and then tap the + sign next to the add-ins you want to enable. If you don’t see the option yet, Microsoft says that add-ins will roll out to to all Office 365 commercial customers and Outlook.com customers over the next few weeks.
