Now that it has been about a month since the Surface Book 2 has hit the market, the prices on the original Surface Book have dropped at various retailers. As Noted by Digital Trends, you can now pick up certain models of the Surface Book on Amazon for prices starting at $790.
Amazon’s deals brings down the price of the base Intel Core i5 Surface Book with 128GB of storage and 8GB RAM from $1,499 to $789. The model that is a step up from these base specs (Intel Core i5/ 8GB RAM/ 256GB SSD) is also part of the sale, now going for $945. Other models included in the sale are listed below, but keep in mind that supplies may be limited.
- Intel Core i5/8GB RAM/256GB/GeForce GPU: Now $970 instead of $1,899
- Intel Core i7/8GB RAM/256GB: Now $1,045
- Intel Core i7/16GB RAM/512GB/GeForce GPU: Now $1,624.81 instead of $2,699
- Intel Core i7/16GB RAM/1TB/GeForce GPU: Now $2,719 instead of $3,199.00
Though the Surface Book 2 is a much more powerful, solid, and future-proof option, the original Surface Book is still a great device. Prices on the Surface Book 2 start at $1,499, so you’re definitely saving some money if you’re opting for most models of the original Surface Book listed above.
