Speedtest for Windows Phone has been available for quite some time, but to test your internet speed using Ookla’s services, you had to go to their website. Fortunately, a new app for Windows 10 PCs and the Surface Hub has been released.
The app is basically a mobile app running in a fixed size on the desktop, which is interesting because the app is not officially available for mobile yet. However, it can be installed there if you download the app on your PC first, then go to My Library in the store from your phone. It has some weird graphical glitches, that can be seen below, but that is most probably why it isn’t available for mobile yet.
The PC app works pretty well and does what it is supposed to. However, it runs at a fixed size(as mentioned earlier and which can be seen below)which means that it doesn’t allow the user to resize the window. When you attempt to do that, the app just glitches out and reverts to its previous state:
The app has been noted to be downloadable on the Surface Hub, PC and Mobile, but might work on other platforms too with the above-mentioned trick. Download the app from the link below:
