OnStar app

If you own a Cadillac, Chevy, Buick, or GMC vehicle (model year 2010 or newer), you likely snagged an OnStar subscription when you purchased your vehicle. For those of you who do have this subscription, did you know there’s an app for that (if you have a Windows Phone as well)?

Microsoft is showcasing the free OnStar RemoteLink app on its blog today, touting the app as the perfect companion to your OnStar subscription. This app allows you to check your tire pressure, oil and fuel levels, and even unlock your car for you.

“The free OnStar RemoteLink app is now available in the Store for Windows Phone 7.5 and 8. The app lets GM owners check the tire pressure and the oil and fuel levels (something drivers do more than a half million times a month with the app). And if you lock yourself out, RemoteLink can pop the lock for you or start the car. The app requires an OnStar subscription and works with any 2010 or newer Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick, or GMC vehicle,” Microsoft stated in an official blog post.

Hit the download link below to snag the app. Once you download it, you must register the app and enter your OnStar subscription details to get the full benefits of the app. Try it out, you just might love it!
