Just before Build 2016, we reported that Microsoft was working on a Universal Windows App of OneDrive for Windows 10 desktop users that the company could release alongside the Windows 10 Anniversary Update in the summer. We also did get some screenshots of the app which looked  nearly identical to what we already have on Windows 10 Mobile, but we still needed to know if the upcoming Windows 10 app would guarantee feature parity with the already available Windows 10 Mobile version.

Today, a new report from Mary-Jo Foley from ZDNet.com explains that Microsoft could release this OneDrive UWP app for Windows 10 this quarter along new SharePoint mobile apps for iOS, Android and Windows. Foley added that the Onedrive UWP app could be released “most likely later in May”, so we may no longer have to wait for the upcoming Windows 10 Anniversary update to play with this app. Furthermore, we could get more information about this OneDrive UWP app later today during Microsoft’s “Future of SharePoint” event where the company will share its vision and roadmap for SharePoint and OneDrive for Business.
