Microsoft’s new focus on services, and its sudden love of other platforms, have brought a series of high quality first party Microsoft apps to both iOS and Android.

Continuing in this vein, Redmond has just released a new update for OneDrive on Android, bringing with it improved searches, visual updates, removed bugs and stability fixes. Searches now include file contents and text within photos, business users now have the ability to share work files and a number of visual updates have been added throughout.

Currently, OneDrive for Android is on version 2.9.7, and expect Microsoft to continue rolling out updates in the coming months, bringing further functionality and improvements to the app as it looks to increase its presence elsewhere. Indeed, with the new influx of Galaxy S6 owners each touting 115GB of free OneDrive space, development will most likely accelerate.
