It appears Microsoft are set to unleash a few popular apps onto its Windows platform soon, as Facebook and Flipboard for Windows 8 have been revealed. Microsoft are currently holding a BUILD session right now in which they are expected to talk about the new apps.
The Windows Store hasn’t seen many big name apps come through the store as of late, the last big app to be released was Twitter. We can only hope that this is the beginning of a long streak of popular apps for Windows 8!
It’s currently unclear when these developers plan to release these official apps, but hopefully its before the Windows 8.1 RTM later this year. Take a look at a teaser video of the new Flipboard app below.
