The WinBeta podcast is currently out of commission, but that doesn’t mean you’re all totally out of luck in the podcast department. The Office 365 Developer Podcast just had its 100th episode, and while it’s not the sort of broad Microsoft content we’ve been doing, it’s still a nice show for those interested in the inner workings of Office 365. For the milestone, the podcast brought on SharePoint/OneDrive Corporate Vice President Jeff Teper to talk about SharePoint, his work on it, and its future.

There’s a lot of general discussions on various topics, but many of the most interesting parts of the interview come from the talks about initial development of SharePoint. When asked if he figured the software would get as big as it did, for instance,  Teper didn’t beat around the bush – he responded with a resounding “yes.” Beyond the look at SharePoint’s origin story, it was definitely nice to gain insight as to how the development process evolves.

While the podcast isn’t exactly a great listen for a general tech fan just looking for news, it’s an excellent source of information for people who have an interest in SharePoint, or just software development in general. If that sounds like you, go ahead and listen to the episode – and be sure to congratulate the team on their 100th show!
