“Moments ago, the Office engineering team signed off on the Release to Manufacturing (RTM) build. This milestone means the coding and testing phase of the project is complete and we are now focused on releasing the new Office via multiple distribution channels to our consumer and business customers,” Microsoft stated in an official blog post. Those who purchase Office 2010 starting October 19th will receive Office 2013 for free once it becomes available. Microsoft will also be releasing new capabilities to Office 365 Enterprise customers during the next service update, begining in November and making its way through general availability in the first quarter of 2013. Volume License customers can grab Office 2013 by mid-November via TechNet or MSDN. So there you have it. Office 2013 has finally hit RTM!
