Windows 8. 1

Two new driver updates have rolled out for those of you who are on Windows 8.1 and are looking for the latest and greatest in graphic performance. Both AMD and Nvidia released beta drivers for Windows 8.1 and are recommended drivers for the operating system.

The new GeForce 331.40 Beta driver is an “essential update” for new game titles that are on Windows 8, including Battlefield 4 Beta. This Beta driver ensures maximum performance and system stability. Nvidia is also recommending this driver for the operating system, so download it via the links below and get it installed! The Beta driver also adds and updates over a dozen SLI and Ambient Occlusion profiles. The update also enhances NVIDIA Control Panel Ambient Occlusion feature with HBAO+.

The AMD Catalyst 13.10 Beta drivers for Windows 8.1 also provide support for new game titles, including Battlefield 4, Total War Rome 2, Saints Row 4, FIFA 14, Splinter Cell Blacklist, and more. Other updates include AMD CrossFire frame pacing improvements for CPU-bound applications, image corruption issue seen in Autodesk Inventor 2014 now resolved, and a fix for an intermittent black screen that appears when resuming from a S3/S4 sleep-state if the display is unplugged during the sleep-state on systems supporting AMD Enduro technology.

Hit down load links below to snag the updated drivers. Let us know in the comments below if you notice a performance increase or a performance decrease.
