Nokia Is Reportedly Working On, Not 1, But 3 Android Smartphones – onmsft.com

Nokia is reportedly working on 3 Android smartphones

According to a Chinese website tech.qq.com, Nokia is working on more than one Android handset. The report says that Nokia is testing new waters with the Nokia X phone, and if things go as planned, it may launch two more Android-powered smartphones later this year.

Internal emails that were leaked from the Silicon Valley company Artesyn Technologies, suggest that Nokia may be working on more Android smartphones apart from Nokia X, reports the chinese technology website.

Nokia X will be the Finnish giant’s first Android phone. Out of the two purported phones Nokia is working on, one is codenamed Nokia XX, and will be positioned above Nokia X, whereas the other will be a high-end smartphone. Thus, neither device is likely to be unveiled at the ongoing Mobile World Congress.

Although this plan makes sense, and explains Nokia’s roadmap with Android devices, it should be noted that it could well just be a rumor.
