Nokia Lumia 620

The Nokia Lumia Black update has been rolling out for a bunch of Lumia handsets in the past few months, with just a few of them left to get the taste of the latest firmware update from Nokia. Users of the Nokia Lumia 620 have waited quite a while for the update, but it seems their time of waiting is about to end as Lumia Black update is rolling out for the handset in various regions around the globe.

Several reports on the internet suggests the roll out has began, and we also digged a little deeper in the Nokia Software Support page to see the regions where the update is rolling out. Almost all the countries in the Middle East region have received the update with a few of them marked as “waiting for approval,” as well as a few European region, including Finland, Netherlands. All the Asia-Pacific countries are currently waiting for approval on the update, but hey, the good news is the wait might come to end soon as the process has already started.

Nokia Lumia Black update comes with a few nice features on board, including custom ringtones for apps, glance screen, double tap to wake, a bunch of Nokia-specific apps such as Storyteller, Beamer, etc., improved storage management, driving mode that restricts the notifications, along with several other enhancements and features.

You might have to wait for the update to arrive, but it shouldn’t take too much time for the rest of the regions. You can also check by heading over to Settings > Phone Updates to check to see if the update is available for you. If you already received the update, feel free to share with us using the comments below and tell us which region you belong to, along with your experience after upgrading to Lumia Black.
