Nokia Lumia 930

\

Earlier today, Microsoft unveiled the highly anticipated Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, and mentioned devices running the latest OS will hit retail later this month. Right after Microsoft’s keynote, Stephen Elop took the center stage, and guess what he just introduced? The Nokia Lumia 930. Yes, the company managed to keep it a secret, but the notorious one (@EVLeaks) shared a press render of the device, some time before its official announcement.

\

The handset looks quite similar to the Nokia Lumia Icon in terms of design, and comes with wireless charging capabilities built-in with the device. The device rocks a beautiful 5-inch 1080p display and features a 20 megapixel PureView camera with optical image stabilization. Under the hood, it comes with a quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset clocked at 2.2GHz, which is a little disappointing as Android flagship devices with the latest Snapdragon 801 are already in the market (the HTC One M8). On the software side, it comes with Windows Phone 8.1 as its operating system out of the box.

\

Nokia Lumia 930 will hit global retail shelves in June, starting with Europe and Asia, followed by other global markets. Elop announced it will launch on over 100 mobile operators with an expected price tag of around $599. There’s no word about the launch in the US, but Elop mentioned its going to focus on the Lumia Icon in States.
