Nokia unveiled the entry-level Lumia 630 and Lumia 635 in San Francisco last week, with a May launch date. The two devices will be the first ones to hit the market with the latest Windows Phone 8.1 on board. At the event, Nokia announced that the single-SIM variant of the Nokia Lumia 630 will be priced around $159, while the dual-SIM will come with a $169 price tag in most regions. However, that doesn’t appear to be the case in Italy, where Vodafone Italy revealed the price of the handset during a contest.
The terms and conditions page of the contest Vodafone Italy is running revealed the price of the Lumia 630 to be €149.99 including taxes — almost $205, a little higher than what Nokia announced at the event, but it makes sense since every country has its own rules and taxes that must be paid. Asia, Russia, China, India and Europe will be the first few regions where the handset will hit retail, initially.
