Nokia Lumia 1520 shipments from AT&T delayed 'because of overwhelming demand'

\

Nokia’s Lumia 1520, which sports a gorgeous 1080p display across 6-inches, is set to launch in just a few hours but eager consumers who had ordered the phablet device from ATT or Microsoft Store are receiving some bad news via email.

\

“Because of overwhelming demand, your Nokia Lumia 1520 order is delayed in shipping. As soon as your shipping label is printed, we’ll send you an email with the tracking information. You can also track your order on our site,” AT&T stated, according to a report by WPCentral.

\

Apparently the Lumia 1520 is a big hit and has resulted in a delay for those who already ordered the device. There was no mention by Microsoft or AT&T as to how long the delay would be but word is that delivery would happen on or before December 2nd.

\

Microsoft is apparently included a $25 promotional code towards your next Microsoft Store purchase to help ease the pain a little. But we’re not sure if that will help.

\

The Nokia Lumia 1520 is a 6-inch 1080p Windows Phone 8 smartphone that features a quad-core processor and a 20-megapixel camera. The device is set to be released November 22nd.

\

Did you order a Lumia 1520 and receive this delay notification?
