Nokia Lumia 530

Not too long ago, the Nokia Lumia 530 made an appearance at a Vietnamese retailer, confirming its existence. It seems Microsoft decided to put an end to all the rumors, and announced the successor to the best-selling Windows Phone device dubbed as the Nokia Lumia 530.

“We are moving quickly to help more people experience the uncompromised Lumia technologies, third party apps, and Microsoft services that we deliver on our flagship products, “ said Jo Harlow, Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Devices Group. “Lumia 530 underscores our commitment to making affordable smartphones for everyone, and introducing more people to the best of Microsoft.”

The Nokia Lumia 530 is yet another entry-level handset powered by the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system. The hardware isn’t too difference when compared with the Lumia 630, except that it comes with a 4-inch display sporting a resolution of 854 by 480 pixels.

There’s 512MB of RAM with 4GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a 5MP camera, a 1,430 mAh battery and comes with a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 chipset under the hood. It also comes with both single and dual-SIM flavors.

It will go on sale in select markets across the globe starting in August.
