After a little break following the release of the November 2018 Xbox One update, the Xbox team is now back at shipping new preview builds to Xbox Insiders. First of all, a new 1811 build is available for Preview Alpha Insiders, and Microsoft also released yesterday a new 19H1 build for Preview Alpha Skip Ahead Insiders.
The new 1811 build addresses some issues affecting the My Games and apps section in the latest Xbox One system update, including a bug where Xbox Game Pass and EA Access content disappears in certain circumstances. More 1811 builds are likely coming as Microsoft is also working to fix audio bugs as well as mouse lag in certain games that now support mouse input.
As for the new 19H1 build available for Skip Ahead Insiders, it comes with various audio, networking and stability fixes, but no new features. As a reminder, “19H1” is the shared codename for the next Xbox One and Windows 10 updates coming in the first half of 2019. Microsoft hasn’t revealed yet what will be the new features coming in the 19H1 update for the Xbox One, but we should learn more details over the coming weeks.
Update 10:37AM PDT: That was fast, but the same 1811 preview build that shipped to Preview Alpha Insiders yesterday will roll out to members of the Preview Beta, Delta and Omega Rings starting today at 2PM PDT.
Update 2: Xbox’s Brad Rossetti just shared on Twitter that the new 1811 preview build will be coming to all Insiders later today. The cause of the delay is to prevent all Insiders to go through a full install.
Xbox One Insiders – Preview Alpha, Beta, Delta and Omega users we have a change of plans. No 2.00pm build today as that would have been a full install so we will release a new 1811build later today when the build is ready – I am glad we caught this!@
