Many Windows Insiders were probably waiting for a new Redstone 4 build to be released last week, but it ultimately didn’t happen. Indeed, Windows Insider Chief Dona Sarkar explained last Friday that a bug with UWP apps prevented the team from releasing a new preview build to Fast Ring Insiders.
Sarkar has just shared an update on Twitter, and the next Redstone 4 build is now expected to be released on Wednesday at the earliest:
#WindowsInsiders we have a build in mind. You know what that means. Canary, selfhost the next 2 days & if all goes well, W or Th release.

The next Redstone 4 build promises to be really exciting, as the much-anticipated Timeline feature (previously unveiled at Build 2017) should finally be available for testing. Timeline will make it easier to find the files you’re looking for, and it will be integrated directly into Task View. We’re really looking forward to try this feature, so stay tuned to OnMSFT if you don’t want to miss anything about the next Redstone 4 build.
