New unofficial video shows off Internet Explorer 11 on Windows Phone 8.1

There’s a lot to look forward to in Windows Phone 8.1 including voice assistant Cortana, support for universal apps and much more. A new video has emerged online that shows the updated Internet Explorer 11 that will form part of the new mobile operating system.

We should find out more about Windows Phone 8.1 at BUILD in April, but for now this new video gives a fascinating insight into what to expect from the spring update.

Check out the video here:

As you can see, there has been something of a redesign, and the dual-function stop and refresh button has now moved inside the address bar. We knew that password saving was on the agenda, and the video enables us to see it in action.

There’s also a new reading mode which makes it easier to focus on the text of a webpage, stripping away images and other unnecessary page elements, and giving users the option to adjust text size and color.

Do things look good to you? Could this be a sign of mobile browsers catching up with their desktop counterparts?
