Microsoft has released a new set of firmware updates for the Surface Studio 2 devices (via MSPoweruser). The updates for the all-in-one PC are minor and bring improvements for system stability as well as security updates.

Here’s what you can expect to see in Windows Update:

  • Intel(R) ICLS Client – Extension: 1952.14.0.1470 Addresses security updates and improves system stability.
  • Intel(R) ICLS Client – Software devices: 1.62.321.1 Addresses security updates and improves system stability.
  • Intel(R) Management Engine Interface – System devices: 2040.100.0.1029 Addresses security updates and improves system stability.
  • Surface ME – Firmware: 11.8.82.3838 Addresses security updates and improves system stability.

As always, the April 2021 firmware updates are rolling out gradually to all Surface Studio 2 owners, so it might be a while before all devices receive the bits through Windows Update. In case you missed it, Microsoft recently also updated a bunch of other devices such as the Surface Laptop models, the Surface Go and Go 2, and the most recent being the Surface Book 2.
