New screenshot gives slightly better look at Modern apps on the taskbar in Windows 8.1 Update 1

Just recently, we learned that Modern apps can not only appear on the taskbar, but also be pinned, in the upcoming Update 1 for Windows 8.1. Now, we are treated with a slightly better screenshot showcasing the taskbar with a few Metro apps pinned to it.

From what we learned yesterday, there is an option in the taskbar properties that allows you to ‘Show Store apps on the taskbar.’ This feature will be available in Update 1 for Windows 8.1. As you can see in the image above, and below, this option blurs the line between Windows Store apps and the desktop, making it easier to switch between the two.

With this feature, you can see all the running Modern apps on your taskbar – a simple yet convenient feature. Windows 8.1 Update 1 is rumored to arrive in April of this year, during the Build 2014 Developer Conference.

Are you going to be enabling this feature once the update rolls out?
