New phone update arrives for Nokia X, adds OneDrive, Contact Transfer and more

Nokia has released a new update for its Nokia X handsets. Bumping the version number up to 1.1.2.2, the update brings along several new features, as well as performance boosts to the phone.

The update also brings two new apps, namely, OneDrive and Contact Transfer. Besides that, you will also get a new version of the Nokia Store. In addition, it also aims at improving stability, usability and general performance.

While Nokia has released the update, depending on your mobile operator, it might take a bit longer to arrive on your phone. To check whether you’ve received it or not, you can go to  Settings > About Phone > System updates and tap on Check Now.

For a refresher, Nokia X is the company’s first Android powered smartphone. The phone doesn’t sport many impressive specifications, but promotes Microsoft and Nokia’s services over what Google has to offer.
