Microsoft has released new optional update for Windows 10 version 1909, also known as the November 2019 Update. The patch fixes will appear as “KB4601380” in the Optional Updates section of Windows Update, and it fixes a couple of issues affecting the Input Method Editor and well as screen rendering in certain games.

Here’s what Microsoft highlighted in the release notes:

  • Updates an issue that sometimes prevents the input of strings into the Input Method Editor (IME).
  • Updates an issue that renders fonts incorrectly.
  • Updates an issue with screen rendering after opening games with certain hardware configurations.

A new optional patch is also available for Windows 10 version 1809 (KB4601383), though only Pro and Education users can install it. Microsoft plans to release new optional updates for Windows 10 versions 20H2 and 2004 later this month, but as usual, all these fixes will also be available in next month’s Patch Tuesday update.
