New Lumia RM-1099 device with 4-inch screen is being tested in India – onmsft.com

Lumia 535

It was several months ago that the RM-1099 first surfaced in the wild, as it passed through certification in Indonesia. Back then, due to the intricacies of the Indonesian certification process, little was known about either the device or its specifications.

Now however, as the phone goes through testing in India, a little more has been revealed. Sporting a 4-inch screen and dual-sim capabilities, this is most likely another budget blower. That the device is dual-sim and has been tested in both Indonesia and India also implies that it has been localized to particular wavelengths.

Certification

What this means, is that it is most likely a version of the recently announced Lumia 532, itself a refresh of the Lumia 530. If this proves to be true, then the device will sport a WVGA resolution of 800×480, 8GB of internal memory (expandable by MicroSD up to 128GB), 1GB of RAM, a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor and a 1560 mAh battery. The 532 also rocks a 5MP fixed-focus rear camera and a 0.3MP front facer.

Whether this proves to be true or not is something only time will be able to tell, the only other option is a version of the Lumia 435. Watch this space.

Will you be picking up any of the new budget Lumias? Let us know in the comments below.
