We finally got our first look at the new Forza Motorsport reboot back in June with the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase. Since then there hasn’t been much in the way of new details about the game, which is tentatively set for a Spring 2023 release.
But today Turn 10 dropped a nugget on the franchise’s official Twitter account with the reveal of a new feature they are calling the “corner mastery system.”
In the new #ForzaMotorsport, we want to help you unlock your fastest self. The corner mastery system focuses your practice sessions on the trickiest areas of the track, and we’re making it more social and connected where players compete and compare corner scores in real time. pic.twitter.com/z1RrSFYuti

By the sound of it, practice sessions will take scores from specific traps and connect them to online leaderboards.
More interestingly is this “more social and connected” approach. Will this extend to other areas of the game as well? We will have to wait until 2023 to find out. Nonetheless it is exciting to see this series finally making its return. We can’t wait to see what next-gen shape the new Forza Motorsport will take.
