Microsoft has new firmware updates available for some older versions of the Surface Pro lineup. These updates are security and driver updates with no known feature enhancements. The Surface Pro 8 updates help resolve some pen and touch stability issues along with some graphical display issues.
If you’re using the Surface Pro 7+ including the LTE model you’re getting improvements in both Wi-Fi and graphics stability. Surface 5 and 6 are sharing the same updates resolving an issue with external displays and addressing a potential security issue. Keep in mind that the Surface Pro 5 is supported until January 14th, 2024, and support ends in just a few days for the Surface Pro 6 on June 30th, 2023
To install these available updates head over to the Settings app and click Update and Security/Windows Update and then Check for updates. A word of caution, firmware updates cannot be reversed, so make sure you have a backup beforehand. You can learn more from the Surface Support Website.
