NetApp demonstrates Efficient IT at Cisco Live – onmsft.com

Visitors experience virtual machine environment at stand

London, February 1, 2011 – NetApp demonstrates storage efficiency at Cisco Live. Visitors to the NetApp stand, Gold G11 at Cisco Live are able to test a virtual machine environment and view compute, networking and storage hardware.

At the stand, NetApp will be demonstrating an Integrated Storage Networking and Compute infrastructure which will allow visitors to visually experience the benefits that existing generations of future-ready IT can provide. The demonstration will be visually showing the importance of Automation, Deduplication, One-Wire and Rapid Cloning. Each of these features will show the amount of savings that can be made through an efficient infrastructure with the ability to quickly provision and automate with flexibility and agility. Visitors can carry out comparisons to evaluate the benefits in time to market and cost reduction.

Paul Sudlow, EMEA Technical Alliance Lead for Cisco and VMware will be speaking at the show on Wednesday in the Gold Theatre and will be focusing on ‘Building Future Ready IT with NetApp Shared Storage & Cisco’. Paul will discuss how a Flexible IT approach built on a Shared Storage Infrastructure from NetApp, combined with Cisco Unified Networking & Computing is faster and more efficient than traditional approaches to IT.
