MyTaxi has reportedly begun emailing users of their Windows phone app to tell them that it will cease functioning on September 1st 2017. The reason given appears to be the lack of users on the Windows phone platform and those who still wish to keep using MyTaxi are encouraged to either book via the website or use the iOS or Android apps.
MyTaxi got its start in Germany as a service that simplified communication between taxi drivers and customers. It expanded into North America in 2012 and launched mobile payments on the service the following year.
