For those attending the Mobile World Congress in Spain on the 29th of February, Skype is offering 2 hours of free Skype WiFi access. On the same day, Microsoft is expected to release Windows 8 Consumer Preview, which would be a great way to utilize the free WiFi.

“Traveling to Mobile World Congress or living in Spain? We have great news for you! During this year’s Mobile World Congress we’re giving everyone in Spain 2 hours of free access with Skype WiFi at more than 24,000 supported wireless hotspots available in the country – including airports, café’s and hotels,” Skype stated in an official blog post. This pretty much means users can enjoy up to 2 hours of free WiFi connectivity, or a 4×30 minute Skype session, between February 26th through March 1st.

In order to receive the free WiFi, simply install the latest version of Skype on Windows or Mac, or use the Skype WiFi app on iOS. Connect to the Skype WiFi hotspot via your device settings and go from there. Enjoy downloading Windows 8 Consumer Preview over the air!
