OneDrive, Microsoft’s cloud storage solution, has multiple ways for users to get extra space, such as getting Office 365, though that subscription isn’t free. Now the company is showing its smartphone rivals some love, offering extra space to Apple and Android, as well as Windows customers.

Microsoft is offering 30 GB to the Apple and Google platform users, and there really is no catch, other than a minor requirement. Users will need to install the OneDrive app on their handset. This with also available for customers with a Windows PC, tablet or phone can also take advantage.

Once installed, customers can head to the Settings to grab the extra storage. All that is needed is enabling the automatic upload of photos from the camera roll. The software giant points out that “all your photos and videos will be available instantly without taking up precious space on your device”.

This is a limited time offer, though Microsoft’s Douglas Pearce, who made the announcement, doesn’t specify exactly how long it will be available.
