It’s now been a week since Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 5 has been released on PC and Xbox One, and Minecraft fans who have played the episodic game developed by Telltale Games will be pleased to learn that Mojang is bringing some goodies for you. A new “Minecraft: Story Mode” skin pack is now available across all Minecraft Editions (including the Windows 10 Edition, the Pocket Edition on mobile devices and all the console editions), and you can get it for free on select platforms until April 12.
Players who download this skin pack will be able to play as any of the Minecraft: Story Mode characters in Minecraft on their platform of choice. Please find additional details below:
“The latest skin pack allows you to make your own adventures as one of the characters from the beloved Telltale Games series! Play as one of the various Jesse options, the TNT juggling Magnus, the scheming Ivor, or one of the many other Minecraft: Story Mode characters. This highly requested pack will help you recreate your favorite moments in Minecraft: Story Mode or craft a new story and world of your own”.
If you don’t grab this skin pack for free right now, be aware that you will be able to buy it for $2.99 on your platform of choice after April 12. More, it’s possible to avoid buying the whole pack as you can always play with one of six versions of Jesse for free.
Last, Mojang is also offering Windows 10 Edition players a free Story Mode-themed arena map (download link) inviting you to “assemble your team of adventurers and see how long you can survive in Soren’s mob grinder”.
