Microsoft’s YouTube account has been hacked – onmsft.com

Microsoft’s official YouTube account has been hacked, the hacker has taken down all the video’s and are asking if anyone wants to be a sponsor.

The account now has four, four second videos asking to make a background and get sponsored. One of the videos say “We are sponsoring!” while another one says “Make us a background for a subbox!” The videos appear to have been made in Apple’s iMovie, which can lead us to believe that the attacks have been done by an Anti-Microsoft.

This attack isn’t entirely Microsoft’s fault, since the company doesn’t have full control over the security of the account. It currently isn’t clear on whether the account password was used, or if the account was actually “hacked”

Both YouTube and Microsoft are yet to comment on the issue.

Take a look at the official Microsoft YouTube channel here.
