According to new data from The NPD Group, the Xbox 360, Microsoft’s entertainment and gaming console, is still the top selling console in the United States for the 20th straight month. In fact, the Xbox 360 has sold 193,000 units in just the month of August!

Aside from selling 193,000 units in the month of August, the Xbox 360 is also reached $196 million in total retail spending when it comes to hardware, software and accessories. During the month of August, the Xbox 360 held five of the top 10 U.S. console game titles including: “Darksiders II,” “NCAA Football 13,” “Sleeping Dogs,” “Transformers: Fall of Cybertron” and “Call of Duty: Black Ops.” This only marks the beginning as Microsoft is still planning on adding Internet Explorer for Xbox 360, Xbox for Windows 8, Xbox SmartGlass, and Xbox Music to the already feature-full Xbox entertainment console.
