Microsoft’s Xbox 360 still the top selling gaming console, as of July 2012 – onmsft.com

According to new data from The NPD Group, the Xbox 360, Microsoft’s entertainment and gaming console, is still the top selling console in the United States for the 19th straight month. In fact, the Xbox 360 has told 203,000 units in just the month of July!

According to Microsoft, the Xbox 360 sold 203,000 units in July, which was more units than any other gaming console. The Xbox holds a 49% share of current generation console sales in the United States. Consumers spent $218 million dollars in hardware, software, and accessories for the Xbox 360 in July. The Xbox 360 will only continue in market share and continue being number one as Microsoft continues to unleash new features to the console. Microsoft is bringing new Xbox Live and entertainment experiences including Internet Explorer for Xbox 360 and Xbox games on Windows 8. Lets not forget about Xbox SmartGlass, which enables all the devices you own to work together, making your games and entertainment even better.
