Surface Pro

The day has finally come. As of today, you can now purchase the Surface Windows 8 Pro online at a Microsoft Store, or at a retailer such as BestBuy and Staples. While the Surface RT is powered by Windows RT, the Surface Pro is the higher end Surface with Windows 8 and can run desktop applications (x86 and x64).

The Surface Pro is now available for purchase in two flavors, a 64GB model for $899 and a 128GB model for $999. Touch/Type Covers are sold separately. Grab yours before they are sold out!

“I am pleased that we are formally announcing the date of availability. Surface Windows 8 Pro will be available in the U.S. and Canada starting on Feb. 9 through all Microsoft retail stores, microsoftstore.com and at Staples and Best Buy in the U.S. as well as from a number of locations in Canada. Not only has it been fun watching the anticipation, it has been great working with such an amazing team to bring these products to life,” Microsoft’s Panos Panay stated in an official blog post. Panay is the man in charge of the Surface.
