Microsoft has started rolling out a new firmware update for all Surface Laptop 2 models this week (via Neowin). It’s the second wave of firmware updates for these devices this month, and the first round focused on addressing issues with touch, pen inputs, and Surface Dock 2.
The new Surface UEFI firmware (138.3261.768.0) should improve stability during hibernation mode. This update is available for Surface Laptop 2 owners running Windows 10 May 2019 Update or newer.
Microsoft released new firmware updates for a couple of other Surface devices this month, including the Surface Pro 5, Surface Book 2, 5th gen Surface Pro, Surface Pro 6, and Intel-based Surface Laptop. We invite you to check our previous posts for more details about these updates.
